My wife and I booked this hotel over the Irish Bank Holiday weekend
as they were running a special package. The package was great value for
money. The hotel is set in beautiful spacious surroundings - ideal for
relaxing walks. Convenient to Dublin and many places of historical
interest - New Grange, Boyne Site, Hill of Tara and Trim Castle to name
but a few. The bedroom was quite spacious with an extremely comfortable
bed and very clean. Large en-suite with choice of shower or bath also
kept impeccably clean.
The food is of an extremely high standard both
the bar food and the restaurant. During our stay we sampled both dining
experiences and found no fault with either. A good choice of tasty
meals are available. The staff are extremely friendly and go out of
their way to make you very welcome. Very willing to help and always with
a smile. I was also impressed with the fact that the staff portrayed a
sense of ownership to the hotel constantly referring to it as "our
hotel". Obviously the staff have a sense of belonging and pride in the
establishment which is heartening to hear. We were both so impressed
that we extended our stay by one extra night and took full advantage of a
very impressive establishment enjoying fine dining, comfort and the
hospitality of the staff. A wonderful break and we will definitely be
back.
